Derivative Pentatonic Mode Shapes
The parent scale's tonic notes are highlighted in red, the modal scale's tonic notes in orange.
The 1st and 6th mode or degree are the pentatonic major and minor shapes previously covered.
Notice how the combined shapes map to the standard pentatonic box patterns (minus the first or last note).
Remember the pattern on the bottom B and E strings move up one fret.
